Dan Andre has been active in metals, ores, mining and international trade for over 50 years.
He began in the late 1950's, as the purchasing manager of all metals used in metal fasteners for Universal Screw Co, Inc. of Evanston, Illinois. This included buying metals from Japan, Germany, Sweden and Great Britain.
In 1961, he joined Nichimen Company, Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nichimen Company, Limited of Osaka and Tokyo, Japan. As General Sales Manager, he dealt with metals, ores and mining. After his promotion to Vice President/General Sales Manger he was sent on a round the world purchasing trip to buy steel, aluminum and copper products.
He has been involved in mining since the 1960's, since Nichimen was part owner of mines in Colorado and Utah. He has been active in the metals and mine business throughout Asia, including Korea, China, Taiwan and Japan for many years.
Married, six children, US Army Veteran (Korea), BS Economics, University of Chicago, MBA Economics & Finance Northwestern University.
