Junhyeok Park, Ph.D
Mining and Geology Advisor
Dr. Junhyeok Park is a senior researcher at the Exploration and Mining Research Center, Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM).
He received a Ph.D. degree in Mining and Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in energy and Resources Engineering from Seoul National University in South Korea.
Hi expertise is in mining engineering, rock excavation, mine-to-mill optimization and rock blasting.
Dr. Park worked for the Department of Geotechnical Engineering in the Freeport McMoran Technology Center at the Morenci and Safford mines in Arizona and the Climax mine in Colorado. He also worked for Canary Systems, Inc. as a database engineer and participated in an iron ore mine monitoring project in Pilbara, Australia.
